Velvet, Hoogstraten, Custom Rugs that Connect the Space
For Velvet Hoogstraten, we designed a series of bespoke rugs that guide the rhythm of the store. Each piece was crafted specifically for its place, forming a flowing path that subtly connects the different zones.
From the fitting rooms, the carpet extends into the open area lined with mirrors, where a soft gradient effect lifts gently toward the reflection, creating a natural boundary. The same detail continues within the fitting rooms, giving the entire space a sense of continuity and calm.
At the front of the store, an organic-shaped rug fits seamlessly between the first two fitting rooms, adding movement through form. By varying height and texture, we introduced depth and a refined tactile presence.
We also created custom rugs for the coffee corner and lounge area, each designed to enhance the warmth and flow of the interior. A collaboration realized together with Sophie Peelman.
