AJ’s Request, A Rug of Texture and Form
AJ’s brief was clear: I want a rug with plenty of texture, a touch of color, and something unique.
With that in mind, I began shaping an atypical rectangular rug, guided more by intuition than symmetry. Its outline became irregular, forming small islands across the surface, each one defined by a different texture and material.
Between these islands runs a fine ochre and purple line, tracing their contours and bringing the composition to life.
The result is a timeless rug that fits effortlessly into AJ’s eclectic interior, adding depth, warmth, and that subtle sense of uniqueness we were both looking for.
